Jim Hagemann Snabe, chairman of German industrial giant Siemens, has urged the public to stop eating meat and replace it with synthetic proteins. "If a billion people stop eating meat, I tell you, it has a big impact. Not only does it have a big impact on the current food system, but it will also inspire the innovation of food systems. I predict we will have proteins not coming from meat in the future; they will probably taste even better," Snabe said on Jan. 18 during the "Mobilizing for Climate" panel at the annual World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland. "They will be zero carbon and much healthier than the kind of food we eat today, that is the mission we need to get on." According to the Siemens chief, he was "inspired" by his 24-year-old daughter who asked him how he could advocate for "zero carbon value chains" and still eat meat products, so he stopped eating meat products. Globalists across the globe are pushing the same narrative. Two professors from Indiana University called for an increase in the use of insect protein for human and animal diets in an op-ed published by the WEF in February 2022. In November, the Netherlands announced it would seize 3,000 farms and shut them down to reduce nitrogen emissions by 50 percent by 2030. New Zealand also laid out plans to tax burps and farts of livestock like cows and sheep. (Related: NZ farmers demand cancellation of PM Ardern's plans to tax the burps and farts of livestock.) During the Davos panel, Snabe promoted the organization called Eat, a global nonprofit that describes itself on its website as seeking "a fair and sustainable global food system for healthy people and planet that would transform our global food system through sound science, impatient disruption and novel partnerships." WEF has been at the forefront of the meat-free future movement, arguing that people should opt for more "climate beneficial foods" such as algae, seaweed and cacti. It is pushing the Great Reset agenda and the idea of eating insect protein rather than meat.

Globalist Bill Gates promotes fake meat, backs synthetic meat manufacturers

Business tycoon and Big Tech mogul Bill Gates has been doing his share in pushing for the consumption of fake meat and plant-based foods instead of natural and organic meat. He said fake meat products would eventually be a "very good" option for consumers, especially for those not willing to go vegan or plant-based but looking to reduce their climate impact. During his annual "Ask Me Anything" session on the social news website Reddit, he answered a user's question regarding his view on veganism/plant-based diets as a means to reduce climate impact. "There are companies making 'beef' in new ways and people working to still use cows, but reduce the methane emissions," Gates replied. He also admitted that he has invested in some synthetic meat manufacturers. "I have backed a number of innovators in this space, including Beyond Meat and Impossible Foods and Memphis Meats. I think eventually these products will be very good, even though their share is small today." Missouri farmer Blake Hurst doubts that. "Plant-based meat failed its early market tests, so farmers have largely moved on to worrying about other things... I've tried a plant-based burger and can testify that my reaction was thirst. Salt can cover up a multitude of sins, but you'd better have a drink of water handy if your hamburger is made from plants," Hurst wrote in an AgriPulse article. He also noted how much venture capitalists are funding the development of synthetic meat. "The Good Foods Institute reports that five billion dollars of venture capital were invested in the alternative protein market in 2021, with $1.4 billion invested in the production of cultured meat. Some of that venture capital was spent on a $123 million dollar plant in North Carolina owned by a company called Believer Meats," he wrote. "Wholesale primal rib is selling at just over $5 a pound. If you believe that Believer Meats can produce prime rib, then the plant might produce $110,000 dollars of annual revenue for an investment of $123 million dollars. My money is on the side of those who say that lab-grown meat won't be economically competitive anytime soon. Agriculture should be thinking very seriously about what a future with affordable cultured meat will mean for our industry." Visit FakeMeat.news for more news related to synthetic meat.
