Michael Boldin: Americans must carefully watch people who are merely CLAIMING to protect the Second Amendment

For podcaster Michael Boldin, actions speak louder than words. He urged Americans to pay attention to people who claim to protect the Second Amendment, but are actually doing the opposite. "We have to pay attention not just to the people proposing the new stuff," he said during the Feb. 13 episode of his "Path to Liberty" podcast. "But we also have to pay attention to the people who claim to protect the Second Amendment." Boldin, the founder and executive director of the Tenth Amendment Center, was referring to certain lawmakers with his comment. These lawmakers behind the scenes claim they support the right to keep and bear arms, but are really giving the green light for gun control in America. According to him, Americans are facing constant pressure from gun control advocates in Congress and at the White House. Boldin warned of executive orders and proposed bills that seek to disarm Americans, adding that alleged pro-Second Amendment politicians who pass bills to empower the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) are on the same level as those directly proposing gun control. These politicians seek to create a so-called Second Amendment sanctuary or protection against federal gun control enforcement, but are really creating loopholes in their legislation that is absolute garbage and a green light for Washington to grab people's lawfully obtained guns. (Related: Texas senator files measure to turn entire state into a “gun sanctuary,” nullifying ALL federal gun control laws and Dem attempts to subvert the Second Amendment.) He then shared advice from James Madison, Founding Father and former president, on how to defeat federal programs. One way to do so is by individual states refusing to cooperate with officers of the Union. If several states adopt the approach, it would create an environment the federal government would hardly be willing to encounter.

Missouri passed its Second Amendment Preservation Act

Boldin lauded the passage of HB 85, or the Second Amendment Preservation Act, in Missouri. It was signed into law in June 2021 by Missouri Gov. Mike Parson, a Republican. He said the people of Missouri are banning the enforcement of all kinds of federal gun control, past, present and future, and several law enforcement agencies throughout the state have already started severing ties with the ATF, Boldin said Arizona is taking a softer approach but is doing something similar to Missouri with regard to the Second Amendment. Montana is doing limited and similar things, but it is very straightforward in not participating in the enforcement of gun control. The "Path to Liberty" podcast host also cited the Utah House of Representatives passing the Federal Firearm Enforcement Limitation Act. The bill's title implied that the Beehive State is going to limit, restrict, champion and cut down on federal enforcement or enforcement of federal gun control on a state level.
