Biden regime says memes constitute "election interference" but arresting your opposition's leading candidate (Trump) isn't
There are two systems of law in the United States: one for Democrats, who are free to do whatever they wish without consequence, and another for Republicans, who are
relentlessly persecuted for refusing to toe the line of establishment, uniparty politics.
The ongoing political witch hunt against President Donald Trump is a perfect example of this dual system of law, as is the conviction of Douglass Mackey, a meme maker who faces a 10-year prison sentence for creating jokes about two-time failed presidential wannabe Hillary Clinton and her supporters in the lead-up to the 2016 election.
Mackey committed "election interference," we are told, because of the funny stuff he posted to Twitter at that time. However, when Clinton supporter Kristina Wong did the exact same thing as Mackey, well, she never even faced public scrutiny, let alone had the book thrown at her.
Then we have Trump, who faces trumped-up charges over the fact that he paid off porn star Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about their affair. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, working on behalf of Democrats, is doing everything he possibly can to
convict Trump of election interference as well, even though his "crime" had absolutely nothing to do with the election.
(Related: Remember the "insurrection" that occurred at the United States capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021? This, too, was
hatched and perpetrated by Trump haters to further smear his and his supporters' reputation.)
The message from the left to conservatives is this: Watch your back because we're coming after you
Had Mackey been a Democrat making fun of Trump, he never would have been charged and convicted. The same goes for Trump: If he was Clinton and, say, paid a research firm to create a fake dossier, nothing at all would be happening to him right now.
Because Mackey and Trump are on the right, both are being persecuted with prejudice while their opponents, who quite frankly have done much worse, walk free. This is the system of injustice that rules America in the year 2023.
"Mackey's conviction shows that free speech only applies if you don't disrupt the power elite from their games. Trump's indictment shows the same thing," writes Libby Emmons for
Human Events.
"If Trump had not won the 2016 presidential election and served as president, if he were not running again, Bragg's indictment would never have come to pass. Bragg wouldn't have ran [sic] on a campaign of going after Trump, or worked so hard to come up with the mildest of accusations only to blow it into a felonious case."
Keep in mind that not a single victim was able to be produced at Mackey's trial. And we expect the same thing at Trump's as the left has failed time and time again to procure any incriminating evidence against the president beyond a few indiscretions that have nothing to do with the election.
All we are witnessing right now is an attempt at disenfranchising the right's most popular potential candidate in the 2024 election – and this is by design. The left knows that Trump will probably win, so they have to stop him before that is allowed to happen.
"What we are learning from the progressive left, the Biden administration, the Democrats and their ideologically captured institutions is that Americans who don't speak the words they are told, who don't follow the orders that are received, are not entitled to have their rights protected," Emmons concludes.
"If Mackey has no rights to free speech, and Trump has no right to be free from frivolous prosecution, neither do any of us."
