Kari Lake vows to KEEP FIGHTING after Arizona judge dismissed her stolen election case
Rightful governor of Arizona Kari Lake has vowed
to continue her stolen election case challenging Maricopa County's
mail-in ballot signature verification system after a liberal judge rejected her claim that the county failed to correctly verify signatures.
After a three-day trial, Maricopa County Superior Judge Peter A. Thompson – appointed by former President Barack Obama – decided that the court did not find convincing evidence that county election officials failed to correctly verify signatures during the 2022 general election, affirming the election of Democrat Katie Hobbs.
This decision came despite Lake's legal counsel spending several days in court pointing out that the county failed to perform higher-level signature verifications on flagged mail-in ballots. Lake's team also showed video footage from a Maricopa County camera feed showing a signature verified incorrectly and hastily by a worker. (Related:
Mail-in ballots need to GO if American elections will ever again have integrity.)
"We've proven that their mail-in ballot play is a joke," said Lake during an interview with Steve Bannon on
Real America's Voice. "Signature verification, that security feature of mail-in ballots, is not being done. We proved in court using the county's own data that 274,000 ballots were so-called 'signature verified' in less than three seconds. And we proved that 70,000 mail-in ballots had their signatures verified in less than two seconds."
Lake further noted that video evidence from an election center proves that one of the machines that was supposed to verify signatures was not doing its job.
In his ruling, Thompson argued that it isn't necessary for a human or automated signature verifier to spend too long double-checking signatures.
"The Court finds that looking at signatures that, by and large, have consistent characteristics will require only a cursory examination and thus take very little time," the magistrate wrote.
Thompson further claimed that representatives from Maricopa County were able to definitively prove at trial that "a comparison between voter records and signatures was conducted in every instance."
Lake to take stolen election fight all the way to Supreme Court
In a press conference held following the Maricopa County Superior Court's dismissal of her case, Lake vowed to continue fighting her lawsuit
all the way to the Supreme Court, if necessary.
"We're also going to continue to, not only raise funds, but energy, for our legal team to continue pushing our case to the U.S. Supreme Court," said Lake.
During her press conference, Lake further claimed that Arizona's elections have been taken over by "criminals and crooks."
"The courts just ruled that this corrupt election will stand," said Lake. "The courts just ruled that our elections can run flawlessly. The courts have ruled that anything goes. Well, we can play by those same rules."
Following this press conference, Lake announced a new initiative that will be "the largest, most extensive ballot-chasing operation in our state's history, and frankly, possibly in American history."
Lake's plan is to legally register voters and conduct spirited get-out-the-vote campaigns. She has vowed to spend millions of dollars on this effort, funded by donations and through her Save Arizona Fund.
