A new poll has found that former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is now running second to former President Donald Trump, putting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in third place. The poll conducted by Suffolk University alongside the Boston Globe and USA Today interviewed 500 likely Republican primary voters. Its results released Oct. 4 indicated Haley garnering 19 percent of support, compared to only 10 percent for DeSantis. Both still lag far behind Trump, who garnered 49 percent of support. In the one-digit territory, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie secured six percent of support. Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) each received approximately four percent. Meanwhile, former Vice President Mike Pence and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum trailed even further with just one percent of support. According to POLITICO, the results of the New Hampshire poll came just before the GOP candidates' visit to the Granite State. It also marked the latest in a series of upward trends for Haley and a downward slide for DeSantis in the GOP primary race. The former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations has performed strongly in the first two GOP debates, strengthening her poll numbers and hyping donors interested in her campaign. In contrast, DeSantis' decline in surveys has created a close competition for second place in the first-in-the-nation primary state. Trump remains UNBEATABLE in most election polls

Still, Trump remains the unbeatable front-runner for the GOP nomination as evidenced by different polls. This lead isn't just visible in the GOP primary race, but also in a hypothetical general election matchup with the incumbent President Joe Biden. Even the mainstream media (MSM) has acknowledged this lead, according to a NewsBusters report. A poll by ABC and the Washington Post that surveyed more than 1,000 adult respondents revealed this lead. According to the results of the survey by the two MSM outlets, 51 percent of respondents support the former president. Meanwhile, only 42 percent of respondents back the incumbent – translating to Trump having a "remarkable" nine-point lead over Biden. One episode of "This Week" on ABC discussed the poll results, with some of the anchors having short of a panic attack. "These numbers are simply staggering for the sitting president," ABC Political Director Rick Klein told Chief Global Affairs Correspondent Martha Raddatz. "Forty-four percent of people in this poll say they are not as well off as they were at the start of the Biden administration two and a half years ago. Those are the worst numbers that we've seen in our ABC News-Washington Post polling." While the pro-Biden MSM is panicking over the survey results, those supporting the real estate mogul-turned-chief executive welcome Trump's lead. "Even with recent indictments, Trump has managed to be a unifying figure for [the GOP] and voters are rallying around the 45th president in record numbers," wrote Bryan Richardson of the DC Enquirer. "As such, [he] is in as strong of a position with [GOP] voters as ever. Trump is still the decisive leader in the [GOP] field, and he and his campaign show no signs of slipping up."
