CIA deployed bomb techs, dog teams to D.C. on January 6, records unearthed by Judicial Watch show
In a
bombshell announcement, Judicial Watch says it received 88 pages of
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosive (ATF) records from the
Department of Justice (DOJ) via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request showing that the
Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was directly involved in the so-called "insurrection" at the United States Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. (That sure is a mouthful of three- and four-letter federal agencies, eh?).
A Judicial Watch lawsuit filed after the DOJ failed to respond to an Aug. 10, 2023, FOIA request for records and other communications documenting shots being fired inside the U.S. Capitol building forced the release of these 88 pages, which cover records through June 5, 2023.
The DOJ also failed to respond to Judicial Watch requests for ATF Special Response Team assistance on Jan. 6, 2021, as shown in the case of
Judicial Watch Inc. v U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:23-cv-01608).
In the newly obtained ATF records, a series of text messages under the heading of "January 7 Intel Chain" contains two separate references to CIA participation in the "riot." One of them refers to "two CIA bomb techs" who were said to be assisting with "a pipe bomb scene on New Jersey and D ST SE." The other references "several CIA dog teams on standby."
The group texts also reveal messages exchanged between names that are redacted at the 4 p.m. hour on January 6 about two explosive devices that were found at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) building, as well as one at the Republican National Committee (RNC) building that resulted in train traffic being "stopped."
"It appears the powerplant is unfounded," one of the messages reads.
"Upper west Terrace of the capital [sic] breached by protesters," says another.
"USCP is sending out a Mutual Aid request," reads another.
"Capitol Police may be moving resources inside," another says.
"Protesters are cutting tarp at bottom of scaffolding and moving up through that," says another – and on and on they go.
Ashli Babbitt's shooting is also mentioned in the texts, referring to the incident as "1 civilian down with a gun shot [sic] wound to the chest on the 2nd floor. Gunshot victim has been extracted. Shooting was officer involved."

According to whistleblowers, the CIA was also involved in recruiting the patsy hijackers that were used to conduct the 9/11 false flag operation at the World Trade Center in New York City in 2001.)
CIA texts show Ashli Babbitt was shot by police
Text messages from the 2 p.m. hour include references to the breaching of the West Terrace, an explosion on the rotunda steps, and shots fired at the rotunda. One party said to another that "VP stuck inside last I heard," with another responding, "copy."
"Capitol PD shot someone dead on the house floor. Dead," another text reads, with another responding by taking the name of Jesus Christ in vain.
"Clearing Capitol now with bomb techs," reads another. "Lots of damage."
We know from the texts that various members of Congress were, in fact, evacuated to Fort McNair, located about two miles south of the Capitol "so they can continue their work," one reads.
In a series of particularly heavily redacted texts, there is discussion about the
Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) involvement as well as a discussion of devices located "at the gates to the Power Plant," and "LEO's [law enforcement officers] being attacked on the west side of Capitol with pieces of the restraining fence. Some officers injured."
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton issued a statement explaining that what these and the rest of the records show is "that CIA resources were deployed in reaction to the January 6 disturbance."
