Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Iran made a big mistake after it launched about 180 ballistic missiles at Israel in response to the Jewish state's recent assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. While the Pentagon says the attack actually involved more like 200 ballistic missiles, the point is that there were a lot of missiles that rained down on Israel. Some were intercepted while others struck their targets, making this the largest missile strike by Iran on Israel in history. According to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), 90 percent of the missiles hit their intended targets. Strikes were confirmed on the ground but no official casualties have been reported. The White House, conversely, called the Iranian attack "defeated and ineffective." Things are as back to normal as they can be in Israel following the attack. All emergency restrictions have been lifted and the people of Tel Aviv are now free to emerge from bomb shelters back to their homes and life. The United States is said to be in talks with Israel about how to proceed next. Israel is promising more retaliation for the attack, which was about twice the size of the one Iran launched back in April. Watch the video below, which shows one of the missiles making a direct hit on Tel Aviv: (Related: Things are heating up in the Middle East after Israel assassinated Hezbollah's top leader, Hassan Nasrallah.)

Is full-scale war on the way?

Iranian state television is reporting that the types of missiles used by Iran were Fatah missiles. Iran's president does not want a full-scale war to break out but he did say that his regime will deal firmly with Israel regardless. Iran apparently did not consult with Russia prior to launching the attack, nor did it give any pre-warning to the U.S. Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are vowing to "strike powerfully" at targets throughout the Middle East in response. "Iran carried out a serious act tonight and is pushing the Middle East to an escalation," the Israeli military said. "We will act at the place and time of our choosing, in accordance with the guidance of the political echelon." "Tonight's events will have consequences." Should the U.S. get involved by partaking in "any hostile action," Iran-backed Iraqi militias are ready to start attacking U.S. bases throughout the Middle East. In other words, a full-scale war is at the doorstep, even though most parties besides Israel do not seem to want one. Antony Blinken condemned the Iranian missile attack as "unacceptable" and called on the rest of the world to declare the same. The Biden regime is promising to defend Israel at all costs, even if it means sending more U.S. military assets to the Middle East. Even as millions of Americans are suffering in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, all eyes are on Israel as Joe Biden and his people come to Israel's aid once again. In the Eastern Mediterranean, at least two guided-missile destroyers were able to fire off about a dozen interceptor missiles at the Iranian missiles, neutralizing them. The Pentagon, meanwhile, is refusing to say whether or not it plans to launch future kinetic strikes on Iran over the matter. IDF also confirmed that it engaged its Arrow-2 and Arrow-3 anti-air defense missiles in the melee. Both Jordan and Iraq have since closed off their airspace. Any further inbound Iranian missiles are to be shot down, according to President Biden. The Middle East is a powder keg just waiting to explode. Find out more at WWIII.news.
