Reid Hoffman, the founder of professional social networking platform LinkedIn, is considering emigrating from the United States following the victory of President-elect Donald Trump last month. Citing the New York Times, the National Pulse reported that Hoffman is mulling the move. He told friends and colleagues of his intention to abandon his U.S. residence and live in exile overseas. Hoffman isn't alone, however, as many personalities voiced their intent to leave the U.S. after Trump won his landslide victory in the Nov. 5 presidential election. According to the Pulse, many who have targeted Trump and members of the Make America Great Again movement "through either aggressive prosecutions or frivolous lawsuits and legal actions" – including the LinkedIn co-founder – "now fear reprisals from Trump's reformed Department of Justice." "Hoffman, unlike many other Democrat mega-donors, may have good reason to consider leaving the country. He was intimately involved in funding lawfare attacks on Trump, including the E. Jean Carroll civil lawsuit," the outlet continued. The billionaire also backed former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley during the Republican Party's presidential primaries in an effort to prevent Trump from securing the nomination. She was forced to withdraw following Super Tuesday in March, prompting Hoffman to bankroll outgoing Vice President Kamala Harris' failed campaign. (Related: Nikki Haley finally DROPS OUT of Republican presidential race after burning through huge donation war chest.) He has also served as a funder of the far-left media organization MeidasTouch Network. The organization has routinely published dubious, Democratic-aligned propaganda meant to smear Trump and his allies, the Pulse added. "Even if Hoffman were to leave the U.S., it is unlikely that the technology billionaire would be able to protect his investments and assets entirely," the Pulse wrote. "Many of his business interests remain in the country, and disentangling them from the U.S. appears impossible."

Hoffman's links to Jeffrey Epstein exposed

According to the Pulse, Hoffman was outed for visiting the private island of the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in 2014. The LinkedIn co-founder even arranged to stay at the Manhattan townhouse where the financier, who died while in custody in 2019, abused many of his victims. News of Hoffman's links to Epstein came long after the latter was convicted for procuring an underage girl for prostitution. In the same year as Epstein's demise, Hoffman expressed regret for his interactions with the convicted sex offender. He elaborated on this in an email sent to Axios, which also recounted how their paths crossed. The LinkedIn founder said his "few interactions" with Epstein came at the request of Joi Ito, former director of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Media Lab and current president of the Chiba Institute of Technology in Japan, for the purposes of fundraising for the media lab. Ito allegedly told Hoffman that Epstein had cleared the MIT vetting process. "My last interaction with Epstein was in 2015. Still, by agreeing to participate in any fundraising activity where Epstein was present, I helped to repair his reputation and perpetuate injustice. For this, I am deeply regretful," Hoffman wrote at the time. "The abuse described by Jeffery Epstein’s survivors is abhorrent, horrific, and disgusting. I am hopeful survivors can attain justice and support, and the communities damaged by these events can begin healing." Head over to LeftCult.com for more stories like this.
